This is probably my favorite art for product design. It was done using the conventional monoprint technique of painting with ink on glass and then making a print. I love the way this looks on so many products, especially on Red Bubble. Here are a few favorites:

I loved this scene for its graphic art  / surface design potential almost as soon as I took the photograph I used to create this. I immediately imagined pillows, curtains, all types of home decor. But, because I have black dishes, I especially loved seeing this mug:

But then I saw it on clothing and scarves!

Red Bubble has the best selection of artist designed home decor and clothing choices that I have found. You can also buy framed or unframed prints and prints on metal or canvas as well. But Society 6 offers some other choices that are nice including this comforter:
